Verborgener Widerstand der Machtlosen: Infrapolitik im jüdischen Widerstand am Fall der Familie Sinasohn aus Berlin

The case of the Jewish Sinasohn family from Berlin is used to examine the epistemological usefulness of the concept of infrapolitics of subordinate groups for the analysis of Jewish resistance. The thesis is that this theory can be used to identify and analyze resistance practices carried out in secret. An overview of the Sinasohn family’s escape stories shows that resistance against an overwhelmingly powerful opponent means individual or collective violation of the existing order, norms, and rules. It means being capable of action.
