Jean Améry was a secular Jew, resistance fighter, concentration camp survivor, author and leftist intellectual. His theses on antisemitism and its effects on the victims have once again become highly relevant since October 7th 2023. While part 1 analyzed the sorrow currently experienced by many (leftist) Israelis and diaspora Jews through his lense, this article examines the vicious antizionist antisemitism that has become prevalent in the European and North American left since October 7th based on his writings from the 1960s and ’70s.
